Oak Creek Bluff and Shoreline Stabilization
Protecting the environment while providing community benefits.
The City of Oak Creek owns most of a mile-long stretch of bluffed shoreline on Lake Michigan. The community’s goal is to redevelop this largely undeveloped reach into a park and public amenity. Two key goals are to protect the environment and provide public benefits such as safe public access to this area of the shoreline for the first time in generations, as well as provide a safe area on which a future expanded public park can be developed. Edgewater worked with the city to present various conceptual options and preliminary cost estimates. The city anticipates this area, once complete, will become a new public park. Edgewater assisted the city in obtaining public and stakeholder input for the future park development.
